 , this is the first in a series of culturally related deviation each having to do with the association of southeast asian nations (ASEAN for short) ^.^ Cambodia is currently ASEAN newest member, joined in 1999 but the regions oldest continuous country. The people in the picture are wearing angkor era costumes. The girl is an apsara (thep apsar in Khmer) and the boy is devata (thevoda). The costumes are inspired by the ones worn at the angkor-gyeonju festival. Traditionally, her skirt is suppose to be white, but that is kinda boring. Hope you like ^o^! you can spread this to raise awareness of Cambodian arts but no derivatory works without asking first ^.^ and must credit me ok ^0^ |
